Mount Vettore Hike

The first part of this hike is the hardest section, as it is quite steep. After a mile, the elevation gain becomes more gradual. Eventually be able to see over both sides of the mountain range. You will see a small shelter, indicating you are getting close to the summit. From the shelter, there are incredible views of the valley on the backside of the mountain. The final stretch to the top is steep, yet only a 20-minute climb. At the summit stands two crosses, one still erected, and another that was struck by lightning and bent half way.
