Seychelles Mini Guide

Seychelles has been on the map for decades as home to some of the best beaches in the World. As a result, it has become a trendy destination to go in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with ultra-luxury hotels across the islands. While expenses are high on these islands and most hotels do cater to high-end and luxury clients, there are still ways to visit this beautiful country while sticking to a budget.

Three Islands make up Seychelles, Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. Mahe, the main island, is home to Victoria, the Worlds smallest Capital, Seychelles International Airport, and several well-known beaches. Praslin is the second largest island, is home to a large rainforest and stunning beaches. La Digue is known for its beaches and may claim to have the best in all of Seychelles at Anse Source d’Argent

  • Getting to Praslin: Praslin has an airport, but it is not as big as Mahe International. You also can get to Praslin from Mahe by Ferry with Cat Cocos, where they have 3 daily ferry times.

  • Getting to La Digue: La Digue does not have an airport as it is a small island. You can get to La Digue from Praslin or Mahe, both by Ferry with Cat Cocos. There are two daily ferry times on Weekends and Mondays, and Tuesday through Thursday has only 1 daily ferry ride.
